INTRODUCTION This document only provides complementary or late-breaking information to supplement the documentation. To consult the online help containing the installation manual and the user manual, please open the file named aochelp.chm in the same directory than this readme file. 1.1 Software Aspects 1.1.1 Supported Operating systems One of the following operating systems must be installed on your PC: - Microsoft Windows® Vista [32 bit](SP1 or SP2) - Microsoft Windows® Vista 64bit(Warning, PIMphony IP is not supported on Microsoft Windows® Vista 64bit) - Microsoft Windows® 2000 Professional (SP4 minimum) - Microsoft Windows® 2000 server(Warning, PIMphony IP is not supported on Microsoft Windows® 2000 server) - Microsoft Windows® Server 2003 [32bit](SP1 or SP2), Server 2003 R2 [32bit](SP2) (Warning, PIMphony IP is not supported on Microsoft Windows® Server 2003) - Microsoft Windows® Server 2008 [32 bit](SP2), server 2008 R2 [64 bit](SP1) (Warning, PIMphony IP is not supported on Microsoft Windows® Server 2008) - Microsoft Windows® 7 [32 & 64 bit editions](SP1) - Microsoft Windows® 8 [32 & 64 bit editions] - Microsoft Windows® 8.1 [32 & 64 bit editions] - Microsoft Windows® 10 [32 & 64 bit editions] - Microsoft Windows® Server 2012 64 bit - Microsoft Windows® Server 2016 64 bit - Microsoft Windows® Server 2019 64 bit - Internet Explorer V6.0 or later is required for PIMphony. 1.1.2 Prerequisites - Microsoft Web Services Enhancements (WSE) 2.0 SP3 Runtime, Microsoft Web Services Enhancements (WSE) 3.0 Runtime are required and installed by the product if a more recent version is not detected on your computer. - For Windows 8,Windows 8.1,Windows 10 and 2012 Server OS, ".NET Framework 3.5" needs to be installed before installing PIMphony. It requires internet connection for successful installation of .NET Framework 3.5. If .NET Framework 3.5 is not installed in windows8/8.1/10/2012 server and proceeding with the Full installation/Migration (singleEXE)/Update(Patch) of PIMphony, a popup with below mentioned information is displayed on click of next/update in start-up wizard of PIMphony. ".NET Framework 3.5 is not installed on your PC Please install it before you run this setup. To install the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5: Select on your PC the windows Feature available in control Panel -> 'Programs and Features' / 'Programs' -> 'Turn windows Feature on or off'. Then, In Windows8/8.1/10: - Select '.NET Framework 3.5' Checkbox In Windows 2012 server: - Server Manager -> Manage -> Add Roles and Features wizard - Navigate to 'Features' window - Select '.NET Framework 3.5 Features' Checkbox In case more information is needed, Please contact your local administrator." On click of "OK" button in above popup, the PIMphony installation is interrupted. 1.2 Contacts manager (PIM) The PIMs which can be associated with the application are: - MS Outlook 2000, XP, 2003, 2007, 2010[32 and 64 bit edition],2013[32 and 64 bit edition], 2016[32 and 64 bit edition], 2019 [32 and 64 bit edition] - MS Access 2000, XP, 2003, 2007, 2010[32 bit edition],2013[32 bit edition],2016[32 bit edition](Warning, Access 2010,2013,2016[64 bit edition] is not supported on 64 bit OS), 2019[32 bit edition] - Goldmine 5.7, 6.5, 6.7, 7.0, 7.5, 8.0, 8.5, 9.0, 9.2, 2016.1, 2016.1, 2017.1, 2018.1 - Act! 6, 2006 (8.0), 2007 (9.0), 2008 (10.0), 2009 (11.0), 2010 (12.0), 2011 (13.0), 2012 (14.0), 2013 (15.0), 2014 (16.0), 2015 (17.2), 2016 (18.2), 2017 (19), 2018 (20), 2018 (21) - IBM Lotus Notes 5.02 to 6.5, 8.0, 8.5, 8.5.3, 9.0, 10.0.1 2. COMPLEMENTARY INFORMATION 2.1 Remark on the installation During the installation of PIMphony, the installation program asks (if necessary) for the installation of Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1. At the end of the installation of the .NET Framework, you are asked to reboot your PC. Following this reboot, you will have to launch again the PIMphony installation program (this is not done automatically). 2.2 Supported phone sets PIMphony support the following phone sets: - Alcatel Reflexes, - analogic or wireless DECT/PWT Mobile x00, - 40x8/IP, 40x9, - Mobile IP Touch. 2.3 Supported external USB handsets PIMphony IP support the following external headsets: - Since v4.4 Eutectics (ref: IPP200) external USB handset (replaces the Audibit handset). - Since v5.0 GN-Netcom (ref: GN-2100) external USB wired headset. - Since v5.1 Plantronics DECT wireless headset (ref: CS60). - Since v6.2 Plantronics “Voyager 510 Bluetooth” with its associated Plantronics USB Bluetooth adapter. - Since v6.4 Jabra BIZ 620 external USB wired headset. Plantronics Blackwire C220 external USB wired headset. 2.4 Note concerning Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 If you have Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Hotfix (KB886904) it will have to be uninstalled to install .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1. 2.5 Using Act! 2006 (and over) with PIMphony In order to use PIMphony with Act! 2006 or over, you must copy the file "PIMPHONY.ActPlugin.dll" located in the "plugins" directory of your PIMphony installation directory into the "plugins" directory of your Act! installation directory. Then restart Act! and configure PIMphony to use the Act! 2006 PIM driver. If this file is not copied, the communication between PIMphony and Act! is not possible. If a new version of the plugin file is available and installed in the PIMphony "plugins" directory, you will have to copy it again into the Act! "plugins" directory and to restart Act! in order to take the changes into account. 2.6 Note concerning use of Access 2016/2019 For PIMPhony to connect and use Access 2016/2019, the end user must manually download and install Access database engine 2016 redistributable (32 bit).
